JAMIN HARKNESS

Jamin Harkness is Partner and Chief Operating Officer at The Management Group, LLC (TMG), a premier property management firm serving the Southeast. A founding partner of TMG, Jamin previously served as Executive Vice President, helping to establish the company’s early success. His return marks the next chapter in a career defined by operational excellence, innovation, and industry leadership.

Jamin brings more than two decades of multifamily experience across operations, marketing, and technology. His leadership roles have spanned a wide spectrum of companies and portfolios, including serving as President of The Life Properties & Olive Tree Holdings, where he led growth and performance initiatives across a national footprint. He was also Senior Vice President at Asset Living, one of the nation’s largest third-party management firms.

Most recently, Jamin served as a strategic consultant and Industry Principal at UTour Inc./Pineapple Self-Guided Tours, guiding adoption strategies for self-guided leasing technology that is reshaping how multifamily operators engage with prospective residents.

Throughout his career, Jamin has managed assets of all classes—from new development and lease-ups to value-add renovations and stabilized portfolios. His experience includes oversight of more than 35,000 units across 13 cities and nine states, with executive leadership positions at firms including Wesley Apartment Homes, Fifteen Asset Management and Equity Residential (REIT).

Jamin holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and an MBA from Kennesaw State University. He has earned both the CAM and CAPS designations from the National Apartment Association, completed OSHA certifications, and pursued additional postgraduate studies.

An advocate for people-first leadership, Jamin has received numerous honors, including the Multifamily Executive of the Year and GlobeSt. Multifamily Influencer Award. He is a frequent national speaker and guest lecturer at institutions such as the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, covering topics from premises liability and property tech to leadership and analytics.

He is also deeply involved in community service. Jamin currently serves as an elected member of the Duluth City Council (GA) and is active with organizations including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Duluth Cluster School Foundation, and Professional Adoption and Family Services. He also contributes to various local and industry advisory councils.
